Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary
Mulliner Bentley's coachbuilding unit bespoke, has designed a unique keycase to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Bentley. It is made of Dark Stained Burr Walnut and Piano Black veneer, it includes a flying 'B' paperweight, a set keys and a brochure featuring never-before-seen 1930 8 Litre images.
It's the perfect present to welcome a new owner into their luxurious vehicle.
Aesthetics
As a design-driven company, Bentley takes its aesthetics seriously. It is evident in the precise positioning of its quilting and the use of leather made from products of cattle, the wood from sustainably-managed forests, and the unique patterns of its levers. A car like the Continental GT W12 beckons as you approach it and showcases its stunning sculptural design and power through carefully curated lighting.
The Continental GT is Bentley's most sophisticated open-top car. The rear tonneau of Continental GT, for example, featured the largest piece of dark-stained Burr Walnut veneer that was book-matched. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.
bentley key programming is the most sought-after brand in the automotive industry worldwide due to its bespoke design and craftsmanship. The firm continues to push the boundaries by utilizing the most advanced technology and manufacturing techniques, such as the introduction of a digital instrument cluster with an electric tilt-opening back glass sunroof, an artisan-made docking station for Apple iPads and electrochromic 'smart' glass that can be changed from transparent to opaque at the touch of one button.
A century after its creation, Bentley - now under sole Volkswagen ownership after years of conflict with BMW and BMW - celebrated its centennial in the year 2019. The marque planned a series of special events and launches to mark the occasion prior to when the pandemic was declared a priority.
Design
Bentley is a premium car manufacturer who produces lavish and extravagant cars. But even the keys make a statement. The Bentayga key is crafted from sterling silver and has an oversized 'B' logo that let everyone know that you drive a Bentley. The key is also embossed with the dates 1919 and 2019, to mark the company’s centenary.
Bentley Mulliner has redesigned and created the Mulsanne to be the ultimate Grand Touring vehicle. It has two opposing pairs of rear seats that are modelled on luxury private aircraft offering passengers unbeatable comfort and privacy. A custom heating, air conditioning and ventilation system has been developed to provide each passenger with the perfect climate control setting.
The Mulsanne is equipped with a twin turbocharged 6.75 litre W12 engine that generates 560bhp and 479lb-ft of torque. This amazing power is coupled by a brand new suspension system which provides Bentley's renowned smooth ride.
Bentley has launched a new specification for cars made after 2019 to commemorate its centennial. This is referred to as the Centenary Specification. This includes cross-stitching and contrast stitching in Centenary Gold thread throughout the cabin. The Bentley Wings are embroidered with Centenary Gold on the headrests as well as the seats and other parts of the car. This is a great way to celebrate the occasion. The Centenary Specification also includes a custom Bentley keycase, adding to the Bentley experience.
Function
The Bentley Mulsanne key features an open button on the trunk, as well as a button that can start the car. The key also has a button to turn on the parking brake. There is a knob to fold and unfold the mirrors when parked in tight areas. Using this feature can assist you in getting into and out of your car more quickly.
Each key takes about two days to create. The key is cut by hand, shaped, stitched and sealed, then polished to create a high-end result. It is robust small and compact, and it fits the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is similar to that of the Volkswagen Phaeton large car's key however, it feels heavier and has a more luxurious feel.

It is also equipped with Secure-A-Key which prevents theft of keys with no key. This device is put inside the remote-control key fob, and stops it after a couple of minutes of inactivity. This stops thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices which can unlock and start the vehicle.
Bentley's distinctive design is a reflection of the company's values which include exquisite craftsmanship and engineering expertise as well as cutting-edge technologies. The headquarters in Crewe are home to more than 4000 employees who are responsible for the design, development and production of Bentley vehicles. These workers apply skills that have been handed through generations to modern automotive technologies. This is the hallmark of British manufacturing at its finest.
Personalisation
Bentley's bespoke division, Mulliner, allows customers to design their own car. The "mood station" allows customers to choose images that inspire them. These could range from stunning views to sporting events. After each selection is made, a pattern is created and reveals the model and color preferences of the customized Bentley.
bentley key that is created is stored on individual R.F.I.D.-enabled keys which are presented to guests in a custom key case. The keys can also be outfitted with Bentley Muliner Personalised Welcome Lamps that light up the door's opening pathway with the owner's name or emblem when they arrive at the vehicle.
Bentley estimates that it takes 500 man-hours on average to construct and construct the Mulsanne. The reluctance to embrace modern technology is the main factor to this laborious task. The Crewe factory workers do not make use of a machine to create perfectly-matched leather seats. Instead, bentley key programming do it by hand. Drivers have to park their cars manually, not using sensors built into the vehicle to guide them into perpendicular and paralell spots.
In the course of the event, Bentley presented its Mulliner personalization capabilities by presenting a special example that was the Mulsanne W.O. Edition, which pays homage to founder William Osler Bentley. The 100 limited edition cars include a key that displays an original 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
